Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential digital solutions organization in Dortmund seeking a Junior AI-Automation Specialist to build practical AI tools and automation workflows. In this role, you will:

• Develop AI-powered tools and applications for internal operations and client-facing projects
• Automate recurring processes using platforms like n8n, Make, or Zapier, connecting systems through APIs and integrations
• Build prototypes with ChatGPT, Claude, and similar LLMs, then transform them into production-ready applications
• Maintain, document, and continuously improve the automation tools created by the team
• Monitor the AI landscape, test emerging tools, and evaluate their practical value for the organization
• Train colleagues on how to effectively use new AI and automation solutions

What We're Looking For

Our client values hands-on experience and problem-solving ability over formal credentials. The ideal candidate brings:

• Practical experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot—whether from personal projects, academic work, or professional settings
• Basic understanding of automation concepts and API integrations; programming knowledge in Python or JavaScript is a plus but not required
• Ability to learn new tools independently without extensive documentation or training
• Process-oriented thinking with an eye for identifying manual tasks that can be automated
• Career changers are explicitly welcome—what you've experimented with matters more than certificates
• Structured work approach with strong task management skills
• Proactive mindset: you spot opportunities and contribute your own ideas
• Strong German and English language skills (written and spoken), as tools and documentation are often in English

This is an on-site position in Dortmund (no remote work). The organization values in-person collaboration for creative alignment, feedback, and team coordination. Monday-to-Friday schedule with flexible working hours. Full-time, permanent contract.
