About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI technology organization seeking a Solutions Engineer to join their London team. Our client is a recognized leader in computer vision and machine learning, empowering developers and enterprises worldwide to build production-grade AI applications.

As a Solutions Engineer, you'll bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI technology and real-world customer needs. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll design architectures, build prototypes, deploy models across cloud and edge environments, and guide customers from initial discovery through production deployment. You'll work directly with customers across manufacturing, retail, security, robotics, and other sectors, turning complex computer vision challenges into measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own technical discovery calls and translate customer requirements into scalable computer vision architectures with measurable success criteria
• Evaluate customer data, recommend appropriate models, and design end-to-end training, inference, and deployment strategies
• Build Python-based prototypes, benchmarks, and proof-of-concepts using modern computer vision frameworks and containerization
• Deploy solutions across Linux, macOS, Windows, cloud platforms, and edge devices, troubleshooting performance, data quality, and hardware acceleration issues
• Deliver technical demos, workshops, architecture reviews, and POCs that advance sales opportunities and retain strategic accounts
• Communicate machine learning concepts clearly to both technical engineers and non-technical executive stakeholders
• Create reusable deployment guides, integration examples, and documentation that benefit the broader developer ecosystem
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams to drive customer outcomes and product improvements
• Engage with the developer community and contribute feedback that shapes product roadmap decisions

What We're Looking For

Core Requirements:

• Strong Python programming skills with practical experience in computer vision, deep learning frameworks (PyTorch), and OpenCV
• Hands-on experience training, optimizing, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models in production environments
• Proficiency with Docker, Git, REST APIs, Linux systems, and cloud platform deployment workflows
• Experience deploying across multiple operating systems (Linux, macOS, Windows) and both cloud and edge environments
• Proven track record delivering technical demonstrations, workshops, architecture reviews, and proof-of-concepts to customers
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences including executives
• Self-starter mentality with strong ownership, urgency, and resilience in fast-paced startup environments
• Genuine passion for AI technology, open source communities, and delivering measurable customer results
• Legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Kubernetes, CUDA, TensorRT, ONNX, or edge AI accelerators (Jetson, etc.)
• Familiarity with MLOps practices, model monitoring, CI/CD pipelines, or observability tooling
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP, serverless architectures, or managed inference platforms
• Experience integrating large language model APIs into production systems
• Open-source contributions or active participation in developer communities
• Background supporting production computer vision workflows at scale

Success Milestones:

• 3 months: Fully ramped on the technology stack, co-running discovery sessions, and delivering initial demos
• 6 months: Independently owning technical discovery and POCs, unblocking active deals, and earning trust across Sales and Customer Success teams
• 9 months: Converting technical evaluations into customer wins, shipping reusable assets, and providing actionable product feedback
• 12 months: Recognized as the go-to technical partner for high-value accounts with multiple referenceable production deployments
