Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential e-commerce organization seeking a talented graduate for their commercial team. In this 1-year structured development program, you will work as a Junior Business Manager within the category management function, taking on real responsibility from day one:

  • Market Analysis: Develop deep understanding of your assigned product category using internal data, customer feedback, and market trends
  • Data-Driven Purchasing: Analyze customer behavior, sales trends, and pricing data to select optimal products and implement innovative assortment strategies
  • Process Management: Handle operational and administrative tasks in daily business, including product verification and data sheet validation
  • Supplier Relations: Prepare supplier discussions, participate in negotiations, and learn to build successful partnerships
  • Performance Optimization: Evaluate data, identify patterns, and derive concrete actions to improve category performance

What We're Looking For

  • Completed or near-completion Master's degree (M.Sc.), ideally in business, economics, or an analytical field
  • Initial practical experience in commercial, analytical, or product-oriented roles within FMCG or retail environments (internships and student positions count)
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, combined with strong analytical capabilities and ability to understand complex relationships
  • Excellent self-organization skills and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with colleagues, partners, and suppliers
  • High willingness to learn and ability to quickly master new topics autonomously
  • Fluent German and English language skills
  • Willingness to work on-site four to five days per week in Düsseldorf
