Maintenance Engineer (m/w/d) – Automation & Instandhaltung

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential logistics organization operating one of the most advanced fulfillment operations in the Brandenburg region. As a Maintenance Engineer specializing in Automation & Instandhaltung, you will work with modern intralogistics, conveyor technology, and automation systems to ensure high-performance operations that serve thousands of customers daily.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Fault Resolution: Identify and resolve both electrical and mechanical faults in technical systems, working closely with operational teams to minimize downtime.
• Vendor Collaboration: Partner directly with machine suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Root Cause Analysis: Analyze system failures, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence through sustainable technical improvements.
• Preventive Maintenance: Execute preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment availability and reliability.
• Continuous Optimization: Initiate and implement system improvements to enhance efficiency and intelligence of automated material-handling systems.

What We're Looking For

• Completed technical apprenticeship, Meister or Techniker certification, and/or Bachelor's/Master's degree in a technical field such as mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or automation
• 7+ years of experience in a technical maintenance or engineering role
• Practical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, with hands-on experience in automated conveyor technology, material-handling systems, or intralogistics equipment
• Familiarity with CMMS software tools and PLC-based control systems
• Strong communication skills and collaborative team mindset
• Independent, proactive problem-solver with a results-oriented approach
• Fluent German and English language skills
