About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential market intelligence organization seeking a Sector Lead (Energy & Industrials) - Directed Content in London. This role sits within a specialized content division responsible for generating thousands of high-value expert interviews each quarter, ensuring comprehensive coverage of key industries and companies.

As Sector Lead, you will oversee the day-to-day execution of research content projects across Energy & Industrials, managing EMEA and APAC company coverage. You will combine operational rigor with sector expertise to lead a team of Project Managers, ensuring all output meets the highest standards for quality, relevance, and end-user value. This position reports to the Director of Research and serves as the critical bridge between strategic vision and tactical execution.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership to develop and maintain a strategic sector roadmap, translating it into a structured execution plan aligned with market and client priorities
• Manage and mentor a team of Project Managers, setting clear goals, tracking KPIs, and ensuring accountability across all deliverables
• Collaborate with Operations Managers to align operational KPIs with coverage strategy and optimize execution of expert recruiting, onboarding, and interaction facilitation
• Own expert budget management for your sector, allocating resources effectively to maximize content ROI while maintaining high quality and throughput
• Oversee a structured QA process ensuring transcripts meet the highest standards for data accuracy, relevance, structure, and analytical depth
• Monitor engagement data, identify coverage gaps, and recalibrate project pipelines accordingly
• Identify and shape content to support revenue-generating efforts such as white papers, webinars, and presentations
• Establish and maintain feedback loops with stakeholders to enhance the quality and insight of future content
• Collaborate with North American teams to ensure high-quality output and consistency
• Partner with Operations and Product teams to pilot and optimize AI-enabled tools that improve project throughput, QA precision, and overall efficiency
• Maintain deep familiarity with ongoing developments within the Energy & Industrials sector, proactively surfacing new themes and companies to guide future research focus

What We're Looking For

• 5–7 years of experience in equity research, market intelligence, consulting, or a related analytical role within Energy & Industrials
• Deep domain expertise in Energy & Industrials with a strong grasp of key players, business models, and industry trends
• Strong understanding of European and Asian equity markets
• Proven people management experience, successfully leading, mentoring, and developing teams of project managers or analysts
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable research projects that yield high-impact insights
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills with ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining high quality standards
• Strong command of project economics, capable of managing budgets, optimizing expert costs, and tracking ROI
• Experience working cross-functionally with research, go-to-market, product, and compliance teams
• Intellectually curious, client-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong understanding of compliance, material non-public information (MNPI), and confidentiality standards
