Staff Software Engineer, Liquidity Management (C#/.NET)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the modernization of an enterprise treasury liquidity platform. In this role, you will be a technical force multiplier, driving architectural decisions and enabling your team to deliver faster with higher quality.

You will drive architectural decisions for a cloud-native platform, balancing scalability, maintainability, and rapid deployment goals. You'll establish technical standards and design patterns that enable the team to ship features faster with fewer defects, while leading technical design reviews that elevate the team's architectural thinking.

As a mentor and technical leader, you'll guide mid-level and senior engineers toward leadership roles, break down complex problems into actionable work, and champion engineering best practices including observability, incident response, and production excellence. You'll lead post-mortems and blameless retrospectives that turn incidents into learning opportunities.

Your technical ownership will span end-to-end systems—from design through production support. You'll anticipate scalability challenges before they become blockers, evaluate emerging technologies, and make tough technical trade-off decisions while clearly communicating the reasoning behind them.

Key technical areas include:

• Core platform modernization with cloud-native architecture designed for scalability, resilience, and speed
• Real-time cash and liquidity data pipelines providing transparency across global operations
• Support for both traditional fiat currencies and digital assets
• Machine learning models for cash flow prediction and real-time decision-making

What We're Looking For

Experience & Scope:

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 3+ years working on complex, business-critical systems in production
• Experience working on products with significant scale
• Strong communication skills with experience in cross-functional projects
• Track record of delivering projects spanning multiple quarters requiring coordination across teams

Technical Leadership:

• Led technical designs implemented by teams of 3+ engineers
• Made architectural decisions with lasting impact on system capabilities
• Established technical patterns adopted across the team

Core Technologies:

• Deep expertise with C#/.NET
• Expert-level skills in relational databases (SQL Server preferred), including query optimization, indexing strategies, and data modeling
• Deep experience building large-scale multi-tenant enterprise applications
• Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and understanding alternative patterns (GraphQL, gRPC, webhooks)
• Deep knowledge building applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and related technologies

Cloud & Infrastructure:

• Proficiency with at least one major cloud platform (Azure preferred)
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Understanding of infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipeline design
• Knowledge of observability: logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting strategies
• Experience with microservices deployment patterns and service mesh concepts
