Site Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential web infrastructure client in their search for a Site Engineer to drive growth through exceptional web experiences. This is a full-stack engineering role focused on user acquisition, conversion optimization, and creating highly performant marketing properties.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build dynamic pages, run A/B tests, and optimize conversion funnels. This role combines technical excellence with growth mindset—you'll design scalable features that enhance the user journey while monitoring key metrics to ensure funnel reliability.

Location flexibility is available: if you're near one of their offices (SF, NY, London, or Berlin), expect in-office days Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Remote candidates beyond commuting distance work fully remotely.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex frontend projects that set the standard for brand and product marketing experiences
• Partner with growth and marketing teams to A/B test landing pages and optimize lead generation
• Design and implement scalable applications, web services, and APIs with focus on performance and UX
• Contribute to design systems and maintain industry-leading UX standards including interactions, micro-animations, and layout consistency
• Continuously improve engineering processes, tools, and systems to scale both codebase and team productivity
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs with speed and quality
• Create technical documentation and maintain internal tools that empower other teams
• Provide thoughtful code review feedback to fellow engineers
• Identify bottlenecks and optimize for conversion, speed, and reliability across the entire funnel
• Think critically about foundational architecture to ensure maintainability and extensibility

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional frontend engineering experience with React, JavaScript, and modern CSS frameworks
• Strong proficiency in Next.js and familiarity with modern frontend frameworks
• Full-stack capabilities—comfortable designing or consuming APIs and working with various backend services
• Deep understanding of SEO principles and best practices, particularly around performance, accessibility, and search optimization
• Proven knowledge of A/B testing concepts and conversion rate optimization techniques
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively across marketing, design, and product teams
• Eye for exceptional user experiences and attention to visual detail
• Comfort working in fast-paced environments with desire to continuously learn and master your craft

Bonus qualifications:

• Experience with Tailwind CSS
• Background in web design or interest in design systems
• Interest in developer tooling domain
