About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential visual effects studio in London seeking Mid and Senior Level Compositors to join their Film & Episodic division. Our client collaborates with leading filmmakers to deliver award-winning visual effects for major motion pictures and streaming series. This role offers the chance to work on high-profile productions alongside world-class supervisors and creative teams.
Please note: Our client can only consider UK-based candidates at this time. Anticipated start dates are August 2026.
Responsibilities
- Integrate 2D, 3D, and live-action elements to achieve high-end cinematic visual effects standards
- Collaborate closely with Compositing Leads, Compositing Supervisors, and VFX Supervisors to execute assigned shots
- Balance creative and technical requirements for each shot using Nuke
- Work with multiple render passes to create seamless final imagery
- Meet project schedules and deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Maintain clear communication with production teams throughout the project lifecycle
What We're Looking For
Essential qualifications:
- Excellent working knowledge of and production experience with Nuke
- Proven experience working with multiple render passes
- Strong eye for detail, composition, colour, and lighting
- Understanding of colour space principles
- Excellent organisation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Pro-active and collaborative work ethic
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and problem-solve effectively
Desirable experience:
- Knowledge of practical lighting for photography
- Understanding of the overall VFX pipeline
- Experience communicating with clients
- Programming and coding knowledge
