Senior Frontend Developer (all genders)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential cloud infrastructure organization seeking two Senior Frontend Developers to join a newly formed team building a next-generation product line from the ground up. Working remotely within Germany, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining customer-facing interfaces and tools in a greenfield environment.

Your primary focus will include:

• Building and maintaining GUI applications and cloud-native interaction tools that customers use to engage with the platform
• Developing on top of API systems while collaborating closely with UX designers to deliver exceptional user experiences
• Making architectural, code, and infrastructure decisions aligned with product strategy and time-to-market goals
• Developing rapidly in a new product environment, implementing fixes quickly, and sharing learnings with the team
• Standardizing APIs and contributing to overall product design in collaboration with design frameworks
• Participating in on-call rotation and proactively improving system redundancy and uptime
• Working in the open with active community presence around open source tooling

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks pragmatic risk-takers who balance speed with quality and bring strong technical expertise:

• Strong production experience with TypeScript 5.9, using the type system effectively to prevent bugs
• Experience with Svelte 5 including client-side routing (svelte5-router); deep Svelte background not required if you have strong TypeScript skills and experience with comparable modern reactive frameworks
• Solid understanding of REST APIs—both building and consuming them, comfortable working with evolving API specifications
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Webpack 5, and PostCSS for containerized builds and frontend tooling
• Familiarity with Svelte Material UI (SMUI) or comparable component libraries
• E2E testing experience using Playwright and/or Cypress
• Experience implementing Keycloak.js or comparable SSO/OAuth solutions
• Fluent English communication skills required; German language skills are a plus
