Senior Consultant Digital Analytics (m/w/d), Düsseldorf

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential digital consultancy serving B2B manufacturing and industrial clients across Germany. As Senior Consultant Digital Analytics, you will build measurement infrastructure that supports real investment decisions in complex B2B environments.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Design and own end-to-end measurement frameworks from KPI definition through technical specification, always anchoring metrics to business decisions
• Implement tracking setups in Google Tag Manager including server-side containers, properly configured for Consent Mode v2 and real-world constraints like ITP limitations and ad blockers
• Validate data quality, debug tracking implementations, and identify setups that produce plausible but incorrect data—speaking up even when challenging established reporting
• Work beyond GA4 interfaces using BigQuery, SQL, and analytics tools to deliver three defensible insights rather than thirty superficial charts, including transparent documentation of measurement uncertainty
• Define reporting logic, metrics, granularity and cadence; specify dashboards built collaboratively with data teams using Power BI or Looker Studio
• Connect marketing measurement to CRM reality through offline conversion imports and Salesforce/HubSpot integration, focusing on lead quality over volume in long B2B sales cycles
• Implement privacy-compliant measurement including CMP configurations (Usercentrics, Cookiebot, OneTrust), consent signals and data minimization in coordination with client legal teams
• Manage multiple client retainer accounts within agreed budgets, flagging scope issues proactively
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to executive stakeholders and translate analysis into actionable guidance for sales leadership
• Leverage AI tools for analysis and documentation while maintaining critical evaluation of outputs
• Coach colleagues, collaborate across search, performance, marketing technology and data teams, and document work to survive handoffs

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years hands-on web analytics and tracking experience with direct ownership of production implementations; you have inherited and rehabilitated someone else's setup
• Deep Google Tag Manager expertise covering both client-side and server-side implementations—you understand why HTTP-only cookies via same-site subdomain endpoints are the critical element of server-side tagging
• Practical consent management experience beyond theory: Consent Mode v2, CMP integration, modeling and its limitations; you recognize common misconfigurations and can spot them in unfamiliar containers
• Strong GA4 proficiency, comfortable with BigQuery export and SQL; you know where the GA4 interface becomes unreliable
• Business acumen to define metrics before measuring them and explain which decisions they support—purely tool-level thinking will not succeed here
• Understanding of B2B data reality: long sales cycles, small sample sizes, lead quality emphasis, CRM as source of truth
• Hands-on mentality with strong Excel skills; ability to gather needed input from teams and then work independently
• Fluent German and professional English communication skills

Valued experience:

• Project work in manufacturing, industrial goods, machinery or wholesale sectors
• Navigating enterprise IT constraints: long deployment cycles, limited admin access, DNS processes requiring formal requests
• SEO reporting, marketing mix modeling or dbt experience
