Coding Tutor/Lehrkraft (all genders)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential EdTech organization seeking a Coding Tutor to support learners through their Python programming education. You will guide participants both technically and didactically, answering questions, helping them overcome challenges in exercises and projects, and ensuring they can work independently with Python by the end of their training.

You will assess learning progress, conduct final examinations, and provide structured, constructive feedback. Through close contact with learners, you will actively contribute to the development of training programs in collaboration with coaching team leads, learning teams, and other stakeholders.

• Answer learner questions on technical topics (written and verbal)
• Teach and deepen training content in live sessions, webinars, classrooms, and individual learning support
• Guide learners through uncertainties in the learning process, exercises, and projects
• Conduct and evaluate final examinations and determine training success
• Create, prepare, and develop learning materials around object-oriented programming, Python, Jupyter Notebooks, development environments (e.g., VS Code), Git, Bash/scripting, and GenAI tools
• Ensure quality of existing training programs including feedback to the learning team
• Conduct individual coaching sessions and support new team members

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in Computer Science or a related field, or comparable qualification
• Practical experience in software development (e.g., web development, data processing, automation) and knowledge of object-oriented programming
• Strong programming skills in Python, familiarity with Jupyter Notebooks and IDEs (e.g., VS Code), and solid practical knowledge of Bash/scripting
• Experience with version control (Git/GitHub) and common development environments
• SQL knowledge and experience using GenAI tools are advantageous
• Teaching experience delivering technical or professional content to non-technical audiences
• Understanding of didactic concepts in adult education and online training
• High customer and service orientation, empathy, clear communication, and constructive feedback culture
• Hands-on mentality, team spirit, resilience, and flexibility
• Excellent German and English skills (minimum C1 level)
