Chief Strategic Architect

Responsibilities

We are representing a leading enterprise AI and automation platform company in their search for a Chief Strategic Architect based in London. This is a senior technical advisory role—not a sales position—focused on building executive relationships and shaping integration strategies across enterprise accounts.

As Chief Strategic Architect, you will serve as the technical authority and strategic advisor to critical prospects and customers within your region. You'll operate at the intersection of technical credibility and executive influence, engaging directly with C-level executives (CIOs, CTOs, Chief Data Officers) to shape technology strategies that solve complex business challenges.

Strategic Engagement & Executive Advisory

• Build trusted peer-to-peer relationships with C-level executives at enterprise accounts, positioning yourself as the go-to expert on enterprise integration and AI orchestration
• Guide prospects and customers through enterprise orchestration vision and roadmap development
• Lead "Art of the Possible" workshops that fundamentally shift how customers think about enterprise integration and intelligent automation
• Influence enterprise architecture decisions and multi-year technology strategies at the executive level
• Serve as technical closer in competitive deals, articulating platform differentiation

AI & Agentic Automation Leadership

• Shape customers' AI and agentic automation journeys, advising on agent-based workflows and decision automation frameworks
• Partner with customer executives to define enterprise Model Context Protocol (MCP) strategies including context management and secure AI orchestration
• Translate emerging AI capabilities into practical, scalable enterprise use cases that drive measurable business outcomes
• Position the platform as the integration and orchestration backbone for enterprise AI transformation

Thought Leadership & Market Influence

• Establish yourself as a recognized authority across iPaaS, API Management, data orchestration, EDI, and AI automation
• Represent our client at industry conferences, customer advisory boards, analyst briefings, and partner events
• Create high-impact thought leadership content: blogs, white papers, webinars, reference architectures, and technical videos
• Influence industry analysts and thought leaders to strengthen market position

Commercial Impact & Deal Acceleration

• Accelerate deal velocity through technical validation, competitive differentiation, and executive trust-building
• Identify and shape strategic expansion opportunities by uncovering automation and AI-driven transformation initiatives
• Partner with Account Executives and Sales Leadership on account strategy and C-level engagement tactics
• Articulate compelling ROI narratives that accelerate buying decisions

Product & Internal Enablement

• Act as voice of the customer to Product and Engineering teams, channeling field insights into actionable roadmap input
• Develop competitive positioning and differentiation strategies
• Educate Sales Engineers, Account Executives, and Customer Success teams on complex technical capabilities
• Mentor technical team members to develop executive engagement skills

What We're Looking For

Required Experience & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 20+ years of technology transformation experience with integration, middleware, or API management platforms
• 15+ years in an Enterprise Architect, CTO, VP Engineering, or similar senior architecture/leadership role
• Demonstrated experience advising C-level executives on technology strategy and enterprise transformation
• Strong understanding of enterprise security, governance, and operating models
• Proven track record driving platform expansion and value realization in enterprise accounts
• Excellent executive communication skills, including board-level presentations
• Ability to operate independently in complex, ambiguous environments
• Travel to client sites up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, or related field
• Deep knowledge of enterprise applications: Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, ServiceNow, SAP, Oracle
• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML platforms and agentic automation frameworks
• Experience in high-growth startup or scale-up environments
• Established personal brand and thought leadership presence in the integration/automation space
