Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential enterprise software client in their search for a Field Chief Technology Officer based in London. This is a C-suite-level role serving as the senior technology voice to Fortune 500 customers and prospects.
In this position, you will:
- Serve as a trusted advisor and peer to CIOs, CTOs, and CDOs at top strategic enterprise accounts, leading executive briefings, advisory councils, and architecture reviews that shape multi-year transformation roadmaps
- Present to customer Boards and executive committees on AI execution strategy, agentic operating models, governance, and the economics of enterprise automation
- Partner with Sales leadership on the largest and most complex enterprise pursuits, strengthening executive sponsorship and expanding strategic scope of opportunities
- Advise customers on enterprise AI adoption, intelligent automation, modern integration architecture, governance models, and organizational readiness
- Serve as a primary spokesperson at industry events, analyst briefings, executive forums, and customer advisory councils
- Translate field signals into direct input to product and executive leadership on roadmap priorities, platform strategy, and competitive positioning
- Coach Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales teams on executive engagement and strategic technology positioning
What We're Looking For
Our client requires a rare combination of enterprise operator credentials and commercial experience. You must have:
- Enterprise CIO or CTO experience at a Fortune 500 or Global 2000 organization, with ownership of enterprise architecture, application portfolios, technology strategy, and transformation at scale
- Commercial experience in executive-level roles at enterprise software vendors selling to the Fortune 500 (iPaaS, AI/ML, cloud platforms, data, ERP, or adjacent infrastructure), or a customer-facing operator role representing products and capabilities to enterprise customers and industry analysts
- 15+ years of senior technology leadership, including 5+ years at C-suite or equivalent executive level
- Deep fluency in enterprise integration architecture, AI and agentic systems, data platforms, cloud architecture, and the modern enterprise application ecosystem (Salesforce, SAP, Workday, ServiceNow, NetSuite, Oracle, Microsoft)
- Proven success leading large-scale digital transformation with measurable business outcomes
- Executive presence demonstrated through Board work, public speaking, analyst engagement, or published thought leadership
- Ability to operate in ambiguity, influence without formal authority, and move at the pace of a high-growth platform company
- Naturally curious and commercially minded, energized by solving complex strategic challenges for enterprise customers
This is a remote position based anywhere in the United Kingdom (proximity to a major airport hub strongly preferred). The role requires approximately 60% travel to customer sites, executive briefing centers, industry events, and company headquarters.
