Affiliate Lead – Consumer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking an experienced Affiliate Lead to own and scale their consumer affiliate programme globally. This is a senior individual-contributor role with significant autonomy, where you'll set strategy, manage high-value partner relationships, and drive sustainable customer acquisition across multiple markets.

You will be responsible for building and executing the affiliate and creator strategy, working with a distributed team across regions. This role requires commercial acumen, hands-on partner management, and the ability to optimize for long-term customer value rather than vanity metrics.

Responsibilities

• Own and scale the global affiliate programme, setting strategy, partner priorities, and investment allocation based on funded customers, retention, LTV, CAC, ROI, and payback metrics
• Build direct relationships with valuable affiliates, publishers, comparison sites, communities, creators, and influencers; use networks and agencies selectively
• Segment the partner portfolio by audience, business model, market, and customer quality; design and negotiate CPA, revenue share, hybrid, or quality-weighted terms that align incentives
• Remain hands-on with strategic partners throughout the customer journey from evaluation through onboarding, funding, first use, and retention
• Work with data teams to create partner-level cohort analysis and testing frameworks that separate attribution from incremental growth
• Make evidence-based decisions on which partners to scale, improve, cap, or exit based on downstream economics and customer experience
• Protect the channel from brand bidding, coupon abuse, fraud, and low-quality traffic through collaboration with compliance teams
• Build the creator and influencer strategy, personally recruiting and activating high-potential partnerships with appropriate commercial models
• Adapt strategy to local customer motivations, regulatory requirements, and channel ecosystems across regions
• Build repeatable workflows with performance marketing, product, creative, and regional teams

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Proven track record of owning and scaling an affiliate programme as a hands-on operator with demonstrable improvements to customer and revenue economics
• Strong commercial judgment across CPA, revenue share, hybrid structures, and incentive models, including ability to calculate fully loaded payback
• Experience sourcing, negotiating, and growing direct partner relationships, including high-value accounts
• Ability to analyze partner, funnel, cohort, and retention data and collaborate effectively with data teams to test hypotheses
• International experience adapting offers, partner mix, and content to local customer behavior and regulatory constraints
• Practical knowledge of affiliate tracking, attribution, fraud controls, and compliance standards
• Builder mindset with ability to create processes, share learnings, and leverage automation appropriately

Preferred:

• Experience in fintech, crypto, or other regulated consumer businesses
• Exposure to creator or influencer programmes beyond direct response marketing
