Staff Full-Stack Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization that is transforming how consumers access on-demand services and digital financial products across multiple international markets. Our talent team is seeking a Staff Full-Stack Engineer to provide technical leadership across backend systems serving millions of users.

This is a fully remote position open to candidates in Bulgaria, Egypt, India, Kenya, Nigeria, Romania, Serbia, South Africa, Spain, Tanzania, and Turkey.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain features for consumer-facing applications at scale
• Provide technical leadership and manage dependencies across multiple engineering squads
• Conduct design and code reviews to maintain high engineering standards
• Mentor and support team members, helping them overcome technical blockers and grow their careers
• Drive the technical roadmap and participate in architecture decisions
• Research, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• Conduct technical interviews and help build world-class engineering teams
• Perform feasibility studies to validate new capabilities and functionality
• Develop and execute complex, multi-tier distributed software applications
• Assess and improve existing codebases and application performance
• Champion improved engineering standards, tooling, and development processes

What We're Looking For

• At least 10 years of backend engineering experience with Node.js in production environments
• Deep knowledge of React and Node.js with proven experience developing full-stack products
• Strong foundation in programming fundamentals and software design principles
• Experience using modern JavaScript and tooling in full-stack settings
• Substantial experience with Git in collaborative team environments
• Proven ability to write testable code and comprehensive unit tests
• Extensive experience with A/B experiments and data-driven product development
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multiple squads
• Track record of providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers
• Experience in fast-growing startup environments, particularly in on-demand services, is a strong plus
