About This Opportunity
Our recruiting team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential federal healthcare technology contractor seeking a Software Developer III with deep expertise in MUMPS/FileMan development. This is a unique opportunity to work on clinical applications that directly support healthcare delivery in underserved communities across the United States.
This is a remote position within the United States, requiring U.S. work authorization and the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and recommend technical solutions for clinical applications using MUMPS/FileMan within the Resource and Patient Management System (RPMS)
- Apply analytical and engineering-based problem solving following IHS standards and conventions (SAC)
- Perform secure system engineering and development utilizing technical and analytical skills
- Design test scenarios for functional and regression testing of complex healthcare software solutions
- Investigate and resolve software support tickets submitted by clinical end users
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design, program, and support mission-critical clinical applications
- Engage in system design, software development, implementation, training, and end user support
- Analyze and debug FileMan/M source code to support deployed applications in production environments
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, mathematics, natural sciences, or related field from an accredited institution
- Eight years of software development experience, with at least six years of specialized experience in healthcare information technology (HIT) systems
- Experience across requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
- U.S. work authorization
Highly Preferred:
- 15+ years of software development experience
- Significant intensive and progressive experience with FileMan/M (MUMPS) programming
- Advanced knowledge of VA and IHS environments, RPMS, or legacy VISTA systems
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team with shifting priorities and deadlines
- Understanding of Agile processes and QA lifecycle methodologies
- Proven ability to work effectively on remote/distributed teams
- Working knowledge of Team Foundation Server and/or Azure DevOps
