Head of Finance & Data (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential e-commerce organization in München seeking a Head of Finance & Data (m/w/d). Our client is building scalable financial and data infrastructure to support their growth phase, and this role sits at the strategic intersection of finance leadership and technical data architecture.

In this dual-capacity position, you'll establish robust controlling structures while simultaneously building the technical foundation for company-wide data-driven decision-making. You'll work directly with executive leadership as a strategic partner on all finance and data matters.

Responsibilities

• Build reliable controlling structures and reporting frameworks with clear, forward-looking steering logic
• Own comprehensive financial planning, reporting, and strategic financial management
• Drive development of automated data pipelines (BigQuery and similar technologies, integrated with e-commerce and marketing platforms)
• Ensure KPIs are reliably available, current, and centrally accessible
• Develop dashboards and BI reporting tools to create consistent views across finance and operational metrics
• Establish efficient, scalable processes in both finance and data domains
• Serve as trusted advisor and sparring partner to the CEO on strategic finance and data questions

What We're Looking For

• Several years of solid finance experience with strong controlling background
• Multiple years of hands-on experience building or operating data infrastructure (data warehouses, ETL pipelines, BI tools)
• Deep understanding of modern, scalable data architecture requirements
• Ideally, experience in dynamic e-commerce or consumer environments
• Structured, reliable, and pragmatic hands-on mentality
• Self-motivated, solution-oriented approach with eagerness to learn
• Native-level German communication skills required
• Technical proficiency with tools such as BigQuery, Looker Studio, and similar platforms
