Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential defense sector organization seeking a Frontend Developer for their operations in Nuremberg. In this role, you will:
- Develop and enhance modern web frontends for sensor applications
- Work hands-on with contemporary frontend technologies including Angular, React, Vue, and TypeScript
- Maintain and evolve existing desktop applications built on Java (Swing/AWT)
- Integrate frontends with backend services via REST/HTTP APIs
- Refactor and restructure existing applications with focus on maintainability, performance, and scalability
- Implement and technically advance UI/UX concepts in collaboration with functional departments
- Optimize usability, performance, and responsiveness across applications
- Utilize modern development processes and tools including Git, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines
- Participate in agile software development within a Scrum team, contributing actively to technical decisions
What We're Looking For
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable qualification/apprenticeship
- Strong experience in frontend development using modern technologies such as Angular, React, or TypeScript
- Solid knowledge of developing and maintaining Java-based desktop applications (advantageous)
- Demonstrated experience integrating frontends with backend services through REST/HTTP APIs
- Proficiency with modern development tools and processes including Git, code reviews, and CI/CD
- Strong sense for UI/UX, usability, and performance/responsiveness optimization
- Structured, self-directed working style combined with strong teamwork and communication skills
- Excellent German language skills and good English proficiency, both written and spoken
