About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential renewable energy organization in their search for an experienced Organic Growth Lead to drive their SEO strategy across all channels. This is a leadership role based in Berlin where you'll own the complete SEO function and build sustainable organic growth at scale.

Our client is transforming how consumers access clean energy solutions. As they continue rapid expansion across European markets, they need a strategic SEO leader who can balance technical excellence, content strategy, and team development while delivering measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the comprehensive SEO strategy spanning technical SEO, content, and off-page initiatives to establish SEO as a primary growth driver
• Lead and develop the SEO team both strategically and operationally, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and measurable results
• Manage the SEO roadmap strategically, setting clear priorities and orchestrating all initiatives around KPIs with direct business impact
• Collaborate closely with communications, product, technology, and design teams to advance technical and content SEO projects
• Own critical technical SEO areas including crawlability, indexing, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, and structured data to ensure a scalable technical foundation
• Build data-driven content and link-building strategies focused on E-E-A-T, keyword clustering, and organic growth to strengthen visibility and authority
• Develop forward-looking GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) strategies for visibility in AI-powered search engines including ChatGPT and Perplexity, optimizing content for LLM citations
• Stay current with SEO and marketing trends, identifying opportunities early to experiment and capture new growth channels
• Continuously analyze performance data, derive strategic recommendations, and communicate successes, learnings, and next steps to C-level leadership

What We're Looking For

• 5–7 years of SEO experience with demonstrated success in increasing organic visibility, traffic growth, and lead generation
• Minimum 2–3 years of leadership experience, ideally building, developing, or scaling SEO teams, with proven ability to enable and develop talent
• Deep expertise across all SEO disciplines: technical SEO, on-page optimization, content strategy, and off-page/link building, with ability to integrate them strategically
• Proficiency with standard SEO tools including Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Sistrix, Google Analytics, Audito, and Screaming Frog
• Experience collaborating with developer teams and solid technical understanding (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs)
• Familiarity with AI-based workflows and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), with hands-on experience optimizing for AI-powered search engines, LLMs, and AI overviews
• Entrepreneurial mindset with analytical thinking, data-driven decision-making, and focus on measurable impact
• Strong communication skills, structured approach, proactive personality with hands-on mentality
• Fluent German and English required
