Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, (Forward Deployed), GPS

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI technology firm seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer for a forward-deployed role based in London. This position focuses on delivering custom AI solutions to public sector organizations, working directly with government clients to build applications that serve millions of citizens.

As a forward-deployed engineer, you'll be embedded with clients to rapidly design, build, and deploy full-stack AI applications that address critical challenges in the public sector. This is a founding team opportunity where you'll have significant impact shaping how AI transforms government operations.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with public sector clients to scope requirements, gather feedback, and implement solutions for complex operational challenges
• Architect and build production-grade applications integrating AI models with full-stack frameworks, managing interactive UIs through to backend APIs and systems
• Deploy and maintain infrastructure within cloud environments, ensuring system integrity, security, scalability, and reliability
• Contribute to core platform features designed for reuse across diverse international client use cases
• Collaborate with design, product, and data teams to deliver robust applications aligned with broader technical architecture
• Work within customer infrastructure to deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot complex end-to-end solutions

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field
• 5+ years of post-graduation full-stack engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in React (required), TypeScript, Next.js, Python, Node.js, and PostgreSQL or MongoDB
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)
• Proven ability to architect scalable, production-grade applications with strong cloud infrastructure expertise
• Experience deploying and maintaining solutions directly within customer infrastructure
• Self-starting approach with technical maturity to navigate ambiguous requirements and deliver reliable software
• Strong async communication skills to reduce friction across distributed teams
• Experience building solutions with LLMs and deep understanding of the generative AI landscape

Preferred:

• Previous forward-deployed engineer or dedicated customer engineer experience
• Experience working cross-functionally with operations teams
