About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential ceramics manufacturing organization in Schwarzenfeld, Germany. Our client seeks an experienced Laboratory Manager to lead their ceramic and chemical laboratory operations, ensuring quality standards and driving analytical excellence in a production environment.

This is a leadership role requiring both technical expertise and people management skills. You will oversee laboratory staff, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and maintain ISO 9001 quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and personnel leadership for the ceramic/chemical laboratory team
• Ensure efficient execution of analytical processes and testing procedures
• Maintain compliance with legal, safety, and internal regulatory requirements
• Oversee quality assurance systems in accordance with ISO 9001 standards
• Serve as the primary interface between laboratory operations and internal/external partners
• Prepare investigation reports and technical assessments
• Act as technical resource and point of contact for laboratory staff on specialized questions
• Exercise full personnel management responsibility for laboratory employees

What We're Looking For

• Engineering degree in Ceramics, Materials Science/Engineering, or Technical Chemistry
• Proven professional experience in an analytical laboratory, preferably within ceramics or materials sectors
• Demonstrated leadership experience and personnel management background
• Confident presence with strong team collaboration abilities
• High-level communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders
• Proficiency with MS Office applications and SAP R/3 systems
• English language proficiency in both written and spoken communication
• Strong assertiveness, communication capability, and teamwork orientation
