About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential media technology organization based in München that is driving digital transformation within Germany's public broadcasting landscape. Our talent team is searching for a Data Analyst to join a dynamic Analytics & Data Platforms department of nearly 20 professionals working on critical infrastructure projects.

This role offers the chance to work on key initiatives including data mesh implementation, clickstream processing, and the development of data marts for business intelligence dashboards. You'll collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams while enjoying strong support for professional development and work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop tracking and measurement concepts in collaboration with product, editorial, and engineering teams to ensure complete, understandable, and reliable data collection
  • Work at the interface between technical data collection and analysis, utilizing SQL and structured datasets to define relevant KPIs
  • Create dashboards, reports, and analyses that enable teams to measure success, identify trends early, and understand target audiences in a respectful and differentiated manner
  • Serve as an analytical sparring partner to editorial and product teams, translating data into concrete action recommendations
  • Analyze how users interact with digital content and products, converting complex analytics and tracking data into understandable, actionable insights
  • Support product and editorial teams in making informed decisions to continuously improve digital offerings

What We're Looking For

  • Completed degree with quantitative or analytical focus in fields such as business informatics, statistics, mathematics, social sciences, economics, or comparable qualification
  • Proven experience analyzing and processing large datasets, particularly digital usage and tracking data
  • Strong SQL skills (BigQuery experience preferred) and ideally familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and dbt
  • Experience creating reports and dashboards using BI and visualization tools, particularly Power BI
  • Understanding of tracking concepts, KPIs, and data quality with interest in working at the intersection of product and engineering
  • Strong analytical abilities for solving complex data problems
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills in an international environment (German and English at C1 level minimum)
  • Self-initiative and eagerness for personal development with willingness to learn new technologies through on-the-job training
