Lead Product Designer – Product & Experience

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential financial services consultancy seeking a Lead Product Designer to guide transformative digital projects. In this role, you will:

• Lead complex customer experience and design engagements, aligning business goals with user-centred product opportunities
• Partner with clients to shape product vision, design strategy, and experience roadmaps
• Identify opportunities to apply AI, automation, and data-informed design approaches to deliver meaningful business and user outcomes
• Contribute to the evolution of design methodologies, including responsible AI and human-centred design practices
• Support and mentor designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and high-quality delivery

What We're Looking For

Our client is seeking an experienced design leader with:

• Demonstrated experience leading UX/UI design initiatives within consulting, agency, or in-house environments
• Strong understanding of digital product development, agile methodologies, and stakeholder collaboration
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and influence decisions across a range of stakeholders
• Experience working across the end-to-end design lifecycle, from discovery through to delivery, with an appreciation of AI-enabled product experiences
• A collaborative mindset with a focus on inclusive, user-centred design and curiosity about how AI can enhance customer experiences responsibly

Additional qualifications that strengthen your candidacy:

• Experience contributing to or scaling design systems and UX frameworks
• Knowledge of behavioural science, human factors, or experimental design approaches
• Familiarity with AI-enabled design tools or emerging AI technologies
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including data and engineering
• Background in financial services or other regulated industries

This is a permanent, remote position based in the United Kingdom.
