About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential software and IT services organization with international operations across Europe and beyond. Our client seeks an experienced Scrum Master to work remotely within the EU on a B2B contract basis. This role will support production teams delivering complex technology solutions in close collaboration with enterprise clients.
Responsibilities
- Organize and facilitate agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, and backlog refinement sessions
- Ensure all meetings remain productive, focused, and time-boxed
- Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to manage and refine the backlog
- Coach teams and Product Owners on empiricism, value-based backlog slicing, and incremental delivery practices
- Track and communicate flow metrics such as velocity, sprint burndown, and iteration burn rate to drive data-driven improvements
- Champion adoption of agile standards, tools, and best practices across teams
- Proactively identify and resolve impediments to team progress
- Foster empowered, self-organizing teams with shared vision, psychological safety, and collaborative decision-making techniques
- Uphold Definition of Done, quality gates, and organizational compliance standards
- Coordinate with other Scrum Masters and Product Owners to ensure transparency on delivery progress, challenges, and risks
- Leverage team feedback and metrics to identify improvement opportunities and facilitate continuous enhancement
- Support teams in effectively using agile planning and development tools such as Azure DevOps and Confluence
- Experiment with new practices and frameworks to improve team outcomes
- Actively participate in communities of practice and professional development opportunities
- Contribute to advancing agile maturity across the organization
What We're Looking For
- University degree with at least 8 years of IT professional experience
- Minimum 3 years dedicated experience as a Scrum Master at SM2 level or above
- Proven track record leading at least 2 production teams through full sprint cycles including planning, review, retrospective, and refinement
- Demonstrated implementation of data-driven continuous improvement initiatives, such as increasing team velocity or reducing lead time
- Experience coordinating cross-team work via Scrum-of-Scrums or PI Planning events
- Deep knowledge of the Scrum Guide and Agile Manifesto principles and values
- Strong facilitation skills including techniques such as Fist of Five, participatory decision-making, and Liberating Structures
- Solid understanding of systems-thinking and process tailoring for complex or evolving environments
- Knowledge of team motivation and stakeholder engagement techniques including information radiators and team empowerment models
- Expertise with Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, burn-up/down charts, cumulative flow diagrams) and ability to build and interpret dashboards for performance tracking and forecasting
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps (preferred) or Jira, particularly backlog management, dashboards, and workflow configuration
- Required certifications: PSM II (or higher) and SAFe 5/6 Agilist
- Experience with scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, Nexus, LeSS, etc.) is an asset
- Knowledge of integrating SAFe and Kanban approaches to optimize flow and delivery predictability is an asset
- Excellent command of English
