About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential EdTech organization that creates learning products used by millions of students globally. Our client is seeking a Sales Development Representative to join their Canadian sales team. This role offers the opportunity to work with educators and school leaders while supporting a fast-paced new business sales function.

Responsibilities

  • Provide sales support to the new business sales team through proactive and reactive client engagement
  • Manage both inbound and outbound prospect inquiries and outreach activities
  • Execute top-of-funnel lead management and qualification
  • Conduct outbound lead generation and follow-up for Business Development Managers
  • Update and maintain prospect information in Salesforce to ensure efficient lead tracking
  • Follow up on sales campaigns and ensure consistent pipeline activity
  • Communicate with K-12 teachers, principals, and district leaders via phone and email
  • Research and compile data to support sales initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ years of successful Sales Support or Sales Development experience in a software-focused sales environment or target-driven role
  • Strong preference for candidates with EdTech experience or a background in K-12 education
  • Familiarity with the education sector in Canada and the United States
  • Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Gong
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage educators at all levels
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to proactively prioritize tasks
  • Client-centric mindset with conviction, follow-up skills, and resilience
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-activity sales environment
  • Internal drive for success and passion for generating new business opportunities
