About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential client in the public safety technology sector who is seeking a Product Manager to lead product strategy for their mission-critical recording platform. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and go-to-market, where you'll own licensing, integrations, and the product roadmap for a unified emergency communications solution.

You'll operate with significant autonomy within an empowered product team, working directly with engineering, finance, and operations to build scalable systems. This is a hands-on role requiring continuous customer discovery, iterative shipping, and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct continuous discovery through customer interviews, stakeholder observations, and data analysis to identify problems and opportunities
  • Collaborate with engineering and design to move from problem definition through solution delivery
  • Write clear product specifications and make informed scope trade-offs
  • Define success metrics and instrument products to track performance and business impact
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Sales Operations, ERP teams, and other product stakeholders to ensure coordinated launches
  • Build competitive analysis and market positioning assessments
  • Enable sales and marketing teams with aligned product catalogs and go-to-market materials
  • Stay current on emergency communications trends to inform feature development, pricing, and packaging decisions

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a high-tech environment
  • 3+ years of product management experience in SaaS, cloud platforms, or enterprise software
  • Background with emergency communications systems, radio systems, call handling platforms, or cloud-hosted solutions
  • Proven ability to translate customer discovery into actionable product decisions
  • Comfort engaging in technical discussions with engineering teams about architecture and trade-offs
  • Experience defining and tracking product metrics to drive prioritization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and business audiences
  • Bias toward action and iterative shipping over perfection
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely (sponsorship not available)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to rapidly prototype using AI-generated code and iterate on solutions
  • Experience with multi-sided products serving partners, installers, integrators, and end-users
  • Technical background (CS, engineering, or similar) enabling deep collaboration on system design, APIs, and platform architecture
