About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential global medical technology organization in their search for a Senior Director, Global Clinical Research focused on infusion therapies and pharmaceutical technologies. This is a senior scientific leadership role responsible for designing and overseeing evidence-generation strategies across a portfolio that includes pharmaceuticals, nutrition therapies, infusion systems, and medication delivery solutions.
Our talent team is seeking a scientifically rigorous leader who can transform medical priorities into executable research programs that generate meaningful clinical, economic, and operational evidence supporting innovation, regulatory submissions, and value-based healthcare initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Medical Affairs to convert medical evidence priorities into integrated clinical research strategies that address unmet clinical and healthcare system needs
- Design evidence-generation programs using appropriate study methodologies including epidemiology, biostatistics, implementation science, and health-services research
- Develop fit-for-purpose study designs that generate evidence relevant to clinicians, regulators, payers, and healthcare systems
- Serve as the organization's leading expert in clinical research methodology and scientific study design
- Provide scientific oversight for protocols, statistical analysis plans, clinical study reports, and evidence interpretation
- Lead the Clinical Operations team to optimize study feasibility, execution quality, enrollment strategies, and delivery timelines
- Balance scientific rigor with operational feasibility and resource requirements across ongoing studies
- Generate evidence across multiple domains including clinical outcomes, safety, workflow efficiency, human factors, real-world evidence, and health economic outcomes
- Build trusted partnerships across Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, HEOR, Commercial, and Quality functions
- Participate in governance and risk mitigation activities for ongoing studies
What We're Looking For
- Advanced scientific or clinical degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, DNP, or equivalent)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in clinical research, clinical development, medical affairs, or evidence generation
- Proven track record leading development and execution of clinical studies and evidence-generation programs
- Experience working within regulated healthcare environments with strong understanding of GCP and global regulatory expectations
- Expertise generating evidence across pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and healthcare technologies
- Deep understanding of clinical research methodology applied to complex scientific and business questions
- Demonstrated ability to align diverse stakeholders around a common research vision
- Experience building trusted cross-functional partnerships across medical, clinical, regulatory, and commercial teams
- Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort building new capabilities and processes
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and rapidly changing business environments
- Bias toward action and execution while maintaining scientific rigor
- Strong business acumen and impeccable integrity
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time
