Responsibilities
Our talent team is representing a confidential consulting organization seeking a Technology Architect focused on cloud innovation for their Munich office. In this role, you'll collaborate with enterprise clients to shape their technology landscapes for the next five years and build concrete implementation roadmaps. You'll work on architecture blueprints for cloud transformations with board-level visibility, prototype agentic AI platforms, and modernize legacy systems that have supported core business operations for decades. What unites these projects: you're close enough to the technology, close to decision-makers, and involved early enough to influence strategic direction.
Your focus areas will ideally center on one or two of the following, with opportunities to develop across all domains:
- Cloud-Native Architecture & Engineering: Design microservice landscapes, event-driven architectures, and domain-driven designs for complex business logic. Strategically decouple legacy systems and integrate them into modern topologies using Java/Spring Boot, Go, Node.js, React, or Angular.
- Platform Engineering & DevOps: Build internal developer platforms on CNCF foundations including Kubernetes, Crossplane, ArgoCD, and Helm. Create Golden Paths and IaC/GitOps workflows across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Agentic AI Architecture: Design enterprise-grade agentic systems with multi-agent topologies, MCP and A2A-based integrations, and orchestration patterns between LLMs, deterministic logic, and existing systems.
- Modern, AI-Led Engineering: Implement GenAI in the SDLC through coding assistants, agentic workflows, and AI-supported reviews and testing, with the developer experience practices that scale these approaches.
- Tech-Led Strategy & Modernization: Translate technical possibilities into roadmaps that transform business models through architecture assessments and modernization programs.
Typical project work includes architecture workshops with lead architects and IT leadership, concrete solution designs for business domains, hands-on prototypes to validate architectural decisions, handoff to delivery teams or implementation support as needed, and C-level stakeholder management with CIO-ready documentation.
What We're Looking For
- Completed degree or training in computer science, mathematics, or physics
- Deep expertise in at least one of the focus areas above, gained through projects where you built solutions or co-owned architectural decisions
- Genuine interest in following technology trends
- Experience working in agile projects and international or cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills with clients and project stakeholders
- Fluency in both German and English
