Software Engineer – Systems Modeling (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential aerospace technology organization based in Berlin that is advancing satellite development capabilities. Our talent team is seeking a Software Engineer - Systems Modeling to join their Architecture and Processes team, where you'll build the system infrastructure that enables rapid satellite mission development.

In this role, you'll collaborate with engineering teams across the organization to develop tools, digital models, and processes that support mission-critical work. This is a permanent position offering the chance to shape technical infrastructure in a cutting-edge industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop system infrastructure and tooling for satellite mission development
• Create and maintain digital models using MBSE and SysMLv2 approaches
• Build code-based systems modeling solutions in Python
• Design and implement APIs, databases, and automation workflows
• Manage CI/CD pipelines using Git, GitLab, and related tools
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define and refine development processes
• Support data visualization and reporting capabilities

What We're Looking For

• University degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Demonstrated experience with MBSE and SysMLv2
• Strong Python programming skills with focus on architecture, testing, and automation
• Proficiency with databases and API design
• Solid experience with Git, GitLab, and CI pipelines—able to independently manage branches, merge requests, and troubleshooting
• Structured, process-oriented mindset with focus on simplicity and automation
• Strong communication skills and collaborative approach with diverse stakeholders
• Preferred: Understanding of satellite missions, system architectures, and development lifecycle
• Preferred: Experience with UI design for data visualization, PostgreSQL, InfluxDB, and Grafana
