Our client specializes in high-impact experiential projects that demand precision, technical problem-solving, and close collaboration between creative and production teams. If you thrive on turning ambitious design visions into buildable reality, this is an excellent opportunity to work on diverse, challenging projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, including plans, elevations, control drawings, assembly drawings, and setup drawings for fabrication and installation teams
  • Create fabrication-ready 3D solid models suitable for real-world manufacturing processes
  • Detail components for CNC cutting, fabrication, assembly, transportation, and on-site installation
  • Produce comprehensive drawings showing materials, finishes, hardware, dimensions, tolerances, part numbers, and electrical requirements
  • Develop clear setup drawings that guide installation teams during on-site assembly
  • Detail solutions involving hanging structures, lighting, electrical systems, networking, AV integration, flooring, staging, and component placement
  • Collaborate directly with designers to ensure creative concepts remain functional and manufacturable
  • Partner with project management to maintain project timelines and resolve technical challenges
  • Work with fabrication teams to ensure drawings translate effectively to the production floor
  • Support service teams with preparation, staging, shipping, and installation documentation
  • Provide graphics teams with accurate elevations and graphic placement specifications
  • Coordinate with external vendors to ensure alignment with project standards
  • Build and maintain libraries of parts, layouts, and frequently used components
  • Apply knowledge of ADA requirements, building codes, show-floor regulations, and fabrication standards
  • Identify opportunities to improve detailing processes, standards, and workflows

What We're Looking For

  • 2–5 years of detailing experience in the exhibit industry, architectural fabrication, or related field
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent education and experience
  • Strong proficiency with AutoCAD 2D and 3D
  • Solid understanding of millwork, metal fabrication, and basic engineering concepts
  • Strong knowledge of drafting standards, dimensioning, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes
  • Understanding of production materials and their effective application
  • CNC programming experience is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multiple teams
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Creative, analytical, and practical problem-solving abilities
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining accuracy
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and continuously improve processes
  • Confidence to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and propose better solutions
