Bid Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential telecommunications infrastructure client in their search for a Bid Manager to lead public sector and enterprise proposal efforts. This is a remote opportunity based in the United States.

Our client operates critical network infrastructure serving enterprise and government customers. As their Bid Manager, you'll own the complete proposal lifecycle—from initial qualification through final submission—ensuring every response is strategically sound, compliant, and positioned to win.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end management of RFx opportunities from qualification through submission, serving as primary proposal coordinator
• Develop proposal schedules, compliance matrices, outlines, templates, responsibility assignments, and tracking systems
• Facilitate kickoff meetings, status reviews, color team reviews, executive briefings, and submission readiness sessions
• Analyze solicitation documents (RFI, RFQ, RFP) to identify requirements, evaluation criteria, and compliance obligations
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, Engineering, Legal, Pricing, Security, Operations, and Marketing
• Draft, edit, and review proposal content for clarity, consistency, accuracy, and customer focus
• Ensure win themes, differentiators, technical solutions, and value propositions are woven throughout responses
• Conduct editorial, compliance, and quality reviews for formatting, readability, and adherence to solicitation instructions
• Manage proposal production, formatting, packaging, and electronic submission processes
• Identify and escalate schedule, resource, compliance, and proposal risks proactively
• Support executive reviews and pricing approvals
• Capture lessons learned and maintain proposal metrics, records, and process improvements

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• 3 to 5+ years of proposal, bid, capture, or project management experience
• Proven experience managing complex RFx responses, particularly public sector procurements
• Excellent writing, editing, communication, organization, and project management skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency and familiarity with proposal management tools
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent proposals under aggressive deadlines
• Flexibility to work outside normal business hours during critical proposal periods as needed
• Experience supporting government and public sector procurement processes (preferred)

Pay

The target compensation range for this position is $68,100 - $104,700 USD annually at the client level. Actual compensation depends on geographic location, experience, skill level, and other factors. This role may be eligible for discretionary annual incentive plans and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement savings, and generous paid time off.
