About the Role

At Newoakland, our Behavioral Health Technician and Driver play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients. This position involves providing transportation and support to clients for appointments and daily activities while also offering behavioral health interventions under the guidance of a licensed professional.

Core Duties

• Transport clients to and from appointments, daily activities, and events
• Support clients with behavioral health needs, including de-escalation techniques and communication strategies
• Assist clients with daily living skills and personal care needs as required
• Ensure the safety and well-being of clients during transportation and at all times
• Document client interactions and support services provided in a timely and accurate manner

What We're Looking For

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Experience in healthcare or social services is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
