Director – Program Nursing – CA

YAI is seeking an experienced nursing leader to fill the position of Director of Program Nursing at our Berkeley location. As a full-time member of our leadership team, you will direct the strategic and operational excellence of our nursing program while fostering professional development and clinical quality.

Position Summary

The Director of Program Nursing provides comprehensive executive leadership for all aspects of YAI's nursing program. This role requires a seasoned nursing administrator capable of aligning clinical excellence with organizational strategy, leading diverse nursing teams, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards while maintaining the highest standards of professional practice.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Direct the strategic planning, development, and daily operations of the nursing program
• Manage, supervise, and evaluate nursing staff while fostering professional growth and accountability
• Oversee program budget, resource allocation, and financial performance
• Establish and enforce clinical policies, protocols, and quality standards to ensure regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and organizational leadership to drive continuous program improvement
• Monitor key program metrics and performance indicators to assess effectiveness and identify enhancement opportunities

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
• Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Nursing Administration, or closely related field
• Significant professional nursing experience with demonstrated leadership and supervisory responsibility
• Proven track record in program management, staff development, and healthcare regulatory compliance
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and guide teams
• Knowledge of current nursing practice standards and evolving regulatory requirements in healthcare
