We are representing a confidential medical technology organization that is transforming how regulatory processes work in healthcare. Our client combines clinical expertise with advanced software systems to accelerate certification timelines for medical devices while maintaining rigorous safety standards.

As their recruiting partner, we're seeking a Software Engineer to join a remote-first engineering team building infrastructure that makes complex regulatory workflows repeatable at scale. This is a full-stack role working primarily in Clojure, collaborating across functions to solve meaningful real-world problems.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain products and services that streamline complex regulatory processes without compromising quality or safety standards
• Develop full-stack web applications that enable efficient safety assessments
• Ship high-quality functionality at a consistent cadence while maintaining engineering excellence
• Collaborate asynchronously with engineers, product managers, designers, and domain experts
• Contribute to technical architecture decisions that embrace the complexity of the regulatory domain
• Participate in rich async discussions and flexible one-on-one sessions as needed
• Travel to the London office twice yearly for one-week team gatherings, plus initial onboarding

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 3+ years of professional programming experience
• Professional full-stack web development experience
• Superb written and verbal communication skills—critical for async-first collaboration
• Evidence of independent, creative thinking from first principles
• Natural curiosity and drive to understand underlying systems and processes
• Willingness and ability to travel to London for onboarding and biannual week-long gatherings

Preferred:

• Professional Clojure experience
• Previous experience in health-tech or regulatory environments
• Location within +/- 2 hours of UK timezone
