Senior Oracle Data Engineer (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential public-sector IT organization seeking a Senior Oracle Data Engineer to take technical ownership of demanding database solutions. You will design and build performant, secure applications using Oracle technologies, coordinate development activities, and serve as the primary technical liaison between project leadership and end users.

Your day-to-day work includes:

• Developing and enhancing database solutions using Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL
• Designing and implementing integration processes with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
• Taking technical ownership of requirements and deliverables within project contexts
• Supporting and coordinating development team activities
• Quickly learning new technologies and problem domains as projects evolve
• Planning, documenting, and tracking development work using Jira and Confluence
• Working with Git and modern development tools such as Visual Studio Code
• Leading technical discussions and presenting complex concepts to diverse audiences
• Representing technical capabilities confidently in meetings with project leadership and stakeholders

What We're Looking For

Must-have qualifications:

• Strong expertise in Oracle databases, SQL, and PL/SQL
• Foundational knowledge of Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence
• Proficiency with Git and common development environments like Visual Studio Code
• Proven ability to assume technical ownership and accountability
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to translate technical content for different audience levels
• Confident presence in meetings with project leads and clients
• German language skills at C1 level or higher
• Good working proficiency in English

Nice to have:

• Experience with Data Vault modeling techniques
• Containerization knowledge, particularly Podman
• Oracle Analytics Server familiarity
• Oracle APEX development background
