About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential global technology organization seeking a Software Engineer with strong.NET C# expertise to join their distributed team in London. Our client operates across multiple international locations and delivers sophisticated software platforms that power complex business operations.
As part of their core technology team, you'll contribute to applications that serve both internal users and external clients, working on everything from workflow automation to scalable APIs and web interfaces. This is a chance to make an immediate impact within a growing technical department.
Responsibilities
- Engage in all phases of application development, with emphasis on coding and debugging while maintaining security standards throughout the lifecycle
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code and APIs supporting web and mobile applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA, designers, and fellow developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Work with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs, creating solutions to mitigate issues
- Optimize web applications for performance, scalability, and security
- Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and guard against threats
- Develop automation tests or collaborate with automation engineers to ensure business needs are met and enable regression testing
- Provide personalized software support to users as needed
- Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance backend infrastructure
- Document application support and operational procedures
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support their professional development
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with focus on building scalable and reliable systems
- Extensive knowledge of.NET C#, LINQ, MS SQL, Entity Framework, and related technologies
- Proficiency with version control software such as Git
- Strong understanding of SOLID principles and clean code practices
- Experience with web service protocols such as REST and API design for extensibility and integration
- Proven ability debugging complex applications
- Experience with Agile development and project management methodologies
- Database development experience in SQL Server or NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with Docker
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environments
- Experience with Azure, AWS, RabbitMQ, and Quartz is a plus
