Business Development Representative (BDR) – Marketplace Outreach – Lebanon

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential e-commerce client seeking a Business Development Representative based in Lebanon to drive seller acquisition and marketplace growth. In this role, you will:

• Conduct outbound prospecting to identify and engage target brands, retailers, collectors, and creators across multiple consumer categories including beauty, fashion, gaming, and collectibles through cold calls, emails, and social platforms
• Qualify and nurture prospective sellers by educating them on the marketplace value proposition and systematically moving them through the sales pipeline
• Book and coordinate qualified meetings between vetted seller prospects and internal category management teams for final onboarding discussions
• Monitor regional retail and social commerce trends across the MENA region to identify prospective brand ecosystems and seller communities
• Maintain detailed records of outreach activities, prospect feedback, qualification statuses, and conversion metrics in the CRM system
• Partner with category management teams to share market feedback, seller objections, and emerging insights to optimize outreach strategies

Your primary success metric will be qualified meetings booked with the category management team.

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in outbound sales, business development (BDR/SDR), or seller acquisition, ideally within e-commerce, digital platforms, or retail
• Fluency in both English and Arabic (written and verbal) with the ability to communicate persuasively with brand owners and sellers across the MENA region
• Genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for consumer trends across categories like beauty, fashion, collectibles, gaming, or lifestyle
• Strong track record in cold prospecting, managing high-volume outbound pipelines, overcoming objections, and consistently achieving meeting-booking targets
• Excellent interpersonal, phone, and written communication skills with an ability to build trust and present benefits clearly
• Comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment where new categories and features are introduced regularly

Preferred experience:

• Prior experience onboarding sellers or accounts for an e-commerce marketplace, social commerce platform, or creator platform
• Active familiarity with digital seller ecosystems, Instagram/TikTok brand accounts, and regional marketplace networks
• Personal experience or interest in buying, selling, or trading on e-commerce or live-shopping platforms

Compensation details will be discussed during the screening process and are competitive for the Lebanon market with performance bonuses.
