Manager, Engineering | ML Infrastructure & Tooling

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cybersecurity organization seeking an experienced Manager, Engineering | ML Infrastructure & Tooling to lead a critical team focused on machine learning infrastructure and tooling. This is an excellent opportunity to shape the technical direction of ML capabilities that power advanced security detections and analytics.

The Machine Learning Infrastructure team you'll lead owns the tools and platforms that enable rapid development, experimentation, and deployment of machine learning models. Your team ensures that data scientists and ML engineers can work efficiently at scale, designing infrastructure that supports everything from model training to production deployment of cybersecurity detections.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop an engineering team responsible for ML infrastructure and tooling that supports research and production scalability
• Work as a product owner to deliver on the product vision and feature priorities, making tough tradeoffs to balance scope, quality, supportability, performance, and time criticality
• Guide the team through design and implementation of complex technical projects involving cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and ML platforms
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure products meet enterprise-grade quality, stability, and performance requirements
• Manage end-to-end product ownership from planning and design through on-call product support
• Shepherd day-to-day design decisions, product roadmap progress, and long-term architectural choices
• Manage and communicate resolutions for escalations and customer issues
• Attract, develop, and retain top engineering talent while fostering a healthy work-life balance
• Remove roadblocks and empower your team to achieve clear goals

What We're Looking For

• BS degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related Engineering field
• 7+ years of software development experience and 3+ years in team lead or management roles
• Proven track record managing teams that delivered machine learning cloud infrastructure through design, architecture, and development
• Strong experience with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code
• Experience with database design and SQL query performance optimization
• Familiarity with machine learning models including LLMs, clustering, and anomaly detection
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and strategies for achieving scalability and availability
• Experience with agile software development methodologies
• Basic understanding of threat detection, intrusion prevention, and incident response strategies
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with strong listening capabilities
• Belief that great outcomes happen when engineering teams are empowered with clear goals and supportive leadership

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $170,000 - $195,000 plus bonus and benefits. This is a full-time position based in the USA with hybrid and remote work options available.
