Sector Lead (Energy & Industrials) – Directed Content

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential market intelligence organization seeking a Sector Lead for Energy & Industrials in London. In this role, you will oversee the execution of proprietary research projects, ensuring delivery of high-quality expert interview content across EMEA and APAC markets.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Partnering with senior leadership to translate strategic sector roadmaps into structured execution plans aligned with market and client priorities
• Managing and mentoring a team of Project Managers who oversee research project delivery, setting clear goals and tracking performance metrics
• Collaborating with Operations Managers to align recruiting and onboarding workflows with coverage strategy
• Owning expert budget management for your sector, allocating resources to maximize content return on investment
• Overseeing quality assurance processes to ensure research transcripts meet standards for accuracy, relevance, and analytical depth
• Monitoring engagement data with research and strategy teams to identify coverage gaps and adjust project pipelines
• Supporting revenue-generating initiatives including white papers, webinars, and presentations
• Establishing feedback loops with internal teams to enhance future content quality
• Partnering with Product and Operations teams to pilot AI-enabled tools that improve throughput and efficiency
• Maintaining deep sector familiarity, proactively identifying emerging themes and companies for research focus

What We're Looking For

• 5–7 years of experience in equity research, market intelligence, consulting, or related analytical roles within Energy & Industrials
• Deep domain expertise in Energy & Industrials with strong knowledge of key players, business models, and industry trends
• Strong understanding of European and Asian equity markets
• Proven people management experience leading and developing teams of project managers or analysts
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable research projects that deliver high-impact insights
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong command of project economics including budget management, cost optimization, and ROI tracking
• Experience working cross-functionally with research, product, and compliance teams
• Intellectually curious and client-oriented with comfort in fast-paced environments
• Strong understanding of compliance, material non-public information standards, and confidentiality requirements
