English Instructor (FT) Remote – KY

We are representing a confidential education services organization seeking a full-time English Instructor for a fully remote position based in Kentucky. Our client specializes in college readiness and individualized academic preparation for high-achieving students. Responsibilities

• Instruct small groups of students in English core skills to build long-term understanding and prepare them for standardized college readiness exams
• Track student progress through a multi-phase curriculum, providing individualized feedback and growth opportunities
• Maintain and update student lesson schedules, hold students accountable for assignments, and communicate professionally and promptly
• Develop and creatively execute evolving lesson plans and curriculum materials
• Mentor middle and high school students with empathy and understanding of the college application process
• Work scheduled hours: Tuesdays–Thursdays 1:30pm–9:30pm CST; Saturdays–Sundays 9:30am–5:30pm CST (Mondays and Fridays off)

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a humanities field from a US institution (English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Publishing, etc.; Master's or higher preferred)
• 1+ years of teaching experience in English and/or experience working in a college-level Writing Center
• Demonstrated academic excellence (e.g., 3.5+ GPA)
• Strong verbal skills and mastery of the English language
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G Suite
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free workspace
• Commitment to work the specified hours of operation, including weekend availability

Preferred:

• Experience teaching at the college or community college level
• Strong understanding of classroom pedagogy and ability to create customized, engaging lesson plans
• Dynamic and outgoing personality with a passion for student success
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $20.00–$24.00 per hour for a full-time, 40-hour per week position.
