Senior Sourcing Executive – Capital Equipment Budgeting

Vizient is seeking a Senior Sourcing Executive – Capital Equipment Budgeting to join our procurement operations across one of our three strategic locations. This full-time position leads sourcing initiatives and capital budgeting management that directly impact our healthcare network's equipment acquisition strategy and financial performance.

Role Overview

As a Senior Sourcing Executive specializing in Capital Equipment Budgeting, you will oversee the end-to-end sourcing process for major medical equipment and facility infrastructure investments. You'll shape our capital procurement strategy, manage equipment budget cycles, and work with healthcare facility leaders to ensure our procurement decisions optimize both clinical needs and financial outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Direct sourcing strategy and supplier selection for capital equipment categories across our healthcare network
• Manage capital equipment budgeting processes, including forecasting, allocation, and financial analysis
• Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships for significant equipment purchases
• Evaluate total cost of ownership and financial impact of equipment investments
• Partner with clinical operations and facility teams to align equipment needs with capital budgets
• Track industry trends, supplier performance, and market conditions to inform sourcing recommendations
• Maintain procurement compliance and uphold healthcare industry standards throughout the sourcing lifecycle

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, procurement, business administration, or equivalent field
• 5+ years of professional experience in procurement, sourcing, or capital equipment management
• Proven track record managing capital budgets and complex equipment sourcing initiatives
• Advanced negotiation and contract management capabilities
• Strong financial analysis skills and understanding of procurement cost modeling
• Healthcare procurement or medical equipment supplier experience strongly preferred
• Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management abilities
