About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization in their search for a Senior Security Engineer I with deep expertise in Identity and Access Management. Our client is building advanced security capabilities across their cloud-native enterprise environment, and this role will be instrumental in strengthening their IAM posture while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
This is a remote position available across the United States, with multiple openings for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate Identity and Access Management solutions across diverse platforms and cloud-native environments
- Enhance security posture through strategic implementation of authentication protocols, authorization mechanisms, and directory services
- Lead incident and issue response efforts, spearheading analysis, containment, and mitigation strategies across security incidents
- Leverage data analytics to identify trends, metrics, and opportunities for improving the organization's security capabilities
- Research security solutions and provide recommendations to stakeholders for addressing identified risks
- Develop and refine security documentation including policies, standards, baselines, and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate closely with various teams to ensure alignment between security solutions and organizational requirements
- Support underlying infrastructure and directly debug and resolve issues within Identity Governance and Administration tools
- Develop automated metrics to measure security program effectiveness
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Four (4) years of experience as a security engineer in an enterprise environment across multiple security disciplines
- Four (4) years of experience in security posture management
- Three (3) years of technical leadership experience, serving as a trusted decision-maker who balances tactical fixes with long-term business value
- Strong expertise in enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems, including authentication protocols, authorization mechanisms, and directory services
- Hands-on experience with Federated Identity platforms, specifically Okta or Microsoft Entra ID
- Direct capability to support infrastructure and debug Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) tools, specifically Omada or Lumos
- Proven experience deploying IAM and IGA frameworks within complex enterprise environments
- Cloud proficiency in AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Automation skills using Python, Terraform, or PowerShell
- Experience in Data Security Operations and regulatory compliance
- Track record of developing automated metrics for program effectiveness measurement
