AI Engineer | NLP & Large Language Models Specialist

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology organization in Greece that is building advanced AI-powered solutions. As an AI Engineer specializing in NLP and Large Language Models, you will play a key role in developing innovative applications including:

• Design and develop NLP solutions using Large Language Models (OpenAI, HuggingFace Transformers, LLaMA, Mistral, and similar frameworks)
• Fine-tune and optimize pre-trained models on specialized datasets
• Build end-to-end pipelines for data preprocessing, training, evaluation, and deployment in cloud and edge environments
• Create personalized AI assistants, chatbots, and conversational agents in multilingual environments
• Develop automated text generation and analysis systems, content understanding tools, and semantic search capabilities
• Participate in R&D projects integrating AI into enterprise and research platforms
• Collaborate with software engineers, UI/UX designers, and systems architects for comprehensive solution implementation
• Contribute to technical deliverables and AI module documentation
• Monitor developments in NLP and LLM fields and introduce new methodologies

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technology field
• Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence (required)
• Professional or research experience in NLP and Machine Learning projects
• Expert-level Python knowledge and ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, HuggingFace Transformers)
• Hands-on experience fine-tuning and developing LLM-based applications
• Strong understanding of Deep Learning principles, language embeddings, semantic search, and conversational AI
• Experience using large model APIs (OpenAI API) and developing custom solutions
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) or on-premise AI deployment
• Ability to write technical documentation in English

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with multilingual NLP projects or Greek language processing
• Knowledge of MLOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines)
• Background in AI Ethics, Explainability (XAI), and Responsible AI
• Participation in research projects or prototype development in R&D contexts
• Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures
• Experience with vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone)
