About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential property management organization in München that is building modern software systems to transform how their industry operates. They are establishing their first dedicated product design role within a newly formed product engineering team.

This is a rare opportunity to be the founding designer on internal platforms that serve real business users daily—customer portals, administrative dashboards, and AI-assisted workflow tools. You'll own the design process end-to-end while working closely with product engineers in a fast-moving environment where your work goes live within weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the complete design process from user research through final implementation
  • Conduct interviews with administrators and end users, synthesize findings into product concepts
  • Design interfaces for customer-facing portals and internal management dashboards
  • Establish design system foundations and component libraries in Figma
  • Implement your own designs in code using AI-assisted development tools (React, Tailwind, shadcn/ui)
  • Ship partial features and collaborate on complete feature delivery with the engineering team
  • Design interaction patterns for AI agent workflows, balancing user control with automation
  • Run usability testing to validate assumptions and iterate on solutions

What We're Looking For

  • 2–5 years of product design experience, preferably with B2B software or complex workflow applications
  • Portfolio with 2–3 case studies demonstrating your process from user problem to shipped interface
  • Strong command of Figma across wireframes, interactive prototypes, and component systems
  • Experience conducting qualitative research: user interviews, insight synthesis, usability testing
  • Solid understanding of interaction design and information architecture for data-heavy applications
  • Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, v0) to implement your designs
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS; JavaScript skills are a plus
  • German language proficiency at B2 level or higher
  • Comfort working in a startup-like product team environment with short feedback cycles
