About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential marketing technology organization that serves professional service practices across the healthcare and legal industries. Our talent team is seeking an Account Manager to own client retention, growth, and commercial expansion across an established portfolio.
This is a fully remote position based in the United States. You'll work with practice owners and decision-makers to demonstrate ROI, uncover expansion opportunities, and apply a diagnostic sales approach to drive measurable client outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Own retention and expansion revenue across an assigned portfolio of professional service clients, carrying a revenue target for your book of business
- Lead recurring business reviews with practice owners and decision-makers to demonstrate ROI, reinforce value, and uncover upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities
- Manage renewals proactively, identifying at-risk accounts early and executing retention strategies ahead of renewal dates
- Apply structured diagnostic sales methodologies to understand client situation, pain points, and goals
- Partner with internal teams including Sales, Onboarding, and Customer Success to ensure client goals are met while driving commercial growth
- Build trusted-advisor relationships with practice owners, office managers, and marketing decision-makers
- Maintain accurate account, pipeline, activity, and forecast data in CRM and customer success platforms
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure client feedback is captured and prioritized
- Contribute to team performance through knowledge sharing and process improvement
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 3+ years of B2B account management, customer success, or full-cycle sales experience, ideally serving SMB clients
- Proven track record of achieving retention and expansion revenue targets across an owned book of business
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with ability to advise business owners
- Working knowledge of digital marketing fundamentals (websites, SEO, paid search, reputation management)
- Experience working in HubSpot or similar CRM with strong data hygiene habits
- Strong analytical skills, data-driven thinking, and exceptional project and time management
- High-speed internet connection to facilitate remote work
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred:
- Experience with structured sales methodologies (SPICED, Challenger, MEDDPICC)
- Experience selling to or serving medical, dental, or legal practices
- Familiarity with customer success platforms (Planhat or similar) and quoting tools
- Track record of strong net revenue retention in prior roles
- Experience reporting on campaign performance, marketing analytics, and client ROI
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Position Details
Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt
Schedule: Monday–Friday during business hours based on your time zone (no nights or weekends). Common schedules include 7am–3pm, 8am–4pm, or 9am–5pm plus lunch break. During training, you may match your manager's schedule before transitioning to your preferred approved schedule.
Travel: Occasional local or national travel may be required (less than 5% of the time, if at all)
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer (90% desk work, 10% walking); ability to lift up to 30 lbs and use typical office equipment
Pay
Compensation for this role includes base salary based on experience and qualifications, plus variable incentive pay tied to retention and expansion targets. Specific pay details will be discussed during the interview process.
