(Senior) QA Engineer (x/f/m)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential financial services organization in Berlin seeking a Senior QA Engineer to drive quality assurance across their digital products. In this role, you will:

• Create comprehensive test cases and test plans based on product requirements in an agile environment
• Ensure overall test readiness including test infrastructure, test data, and environments, while actively driving test automation across front-end and back-end systems
• Plan and optimize testing processes and strategies as part of the team, serving as the primary point of contact for testing methods in an agile environment
• Support teams in integrating continuous testing into CI/CD pipelines and oversee releases through to go-live, including final test reporting
• Contribute to the evolution of the QA strategy, including modern technologies such as AI-supported testing methods and test data generation
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure quality across all system layers
• Coordinate continuously with internal departments and external service providers

What We're Looking For

• College degree in a STEM field or comparable training with relevant professional experience
• Extensive experience in the software development process with a focus on software quality assurance, including responsibility for test strategy, test design, and automation
• ISTQB certification is a strong plus
• Ability to communicate confidently with various stakeholders and explain technical concepts clearly
• Experience in full-stack test automation using Serenity or Playwright
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript or Java
• Experience coordinating other QA engineers is ideal
• Structured, solution-oriented work approach with a commitment to team development
• Confident communication in German and English, ideally at B2 level or above
