About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential technology services organization with operations across Latin America. We're seeking an experienced SAP FICO Consultant to support financial systems for their Mexico operations, working remotely from Colombia with periodic travel to Mexico.
This role requires deep functional expertise in Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules, with proven experience in Mexican SAP localizations and compliance requirements. You'll work closely with internal support teams, key users, and business areas to provide ongoing system support and drive continuous improvement of financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level support and configuration for SAP FICO modules including GL, AP, AR, and Asset Accounting
- Manage SAP Mexican localization requirements, including fiscal configurations, regulatory compliance, legal reporting, and Document Reporting Compliance (DRC)
- Support integration points between FI/CO and MM, SD, and PP modules
- Work within SAP S/4HANA environments to maintain and enhance financial processes
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements
- Travel periodically to Mexico to work directly with internal teams and key users
- Deliver application maintenance support (AMS) and ensure system stability
- Document configurations, processes, and solutions in both Spanish and English
What We're Looking For
- 9+ years of hands-on experience with SAP FICO
- Strong functional expertise in FI (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting) and CO
- Proven experience with FI/CO integration to MM, SD, and PP modules
- Demonstrated experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations or support
- Solid, verifiable experience with SAP Mexican localization requirements
- Knowledge of Mexican fiscal requirements, legal reporting obligations, and DRC
- Experience in AMS (Application Maintenance Support) and continuous improvement initiatives
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (B2/C1 level in English)
- Willingness and ability to travel periodically to Mexico
- Currently based in Colombia
Preferred qualifications:
- SAP certification in FICO modules
- Experience with SAP localizations in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, or Colombia
- Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology
- Previous experience on international or multi-country SAP projects
