AI Safety Specialist – Fully Remote | Upto $62/hr

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI research organization seeking an AI Safety Specialist for a fully remote contract role based in Belgium. Our client works at the forefront of conversational AI development and requires bilingual professionals to help secure their systems against adversarial threats.

Responsibilities

• Conduct red team assessments of conversational AI models and agents to identify jailbreaks, prompt injections, and potential misuse scenarios
• Generate high-quality human annotation data by documenting failures, classifying vulnerabilities, and flagging systemic risks
• Apply structured methodologies using established taxonomies, benchmarks, and testing playbooks to ensure consistency across evaluations
• Produce detailed, reproducible documentation including reports, datasets, and attack case studies that enable actionable improvements
• Work independently in an asynchronous environment while meeting project deadlines and contributing to model performance enhancements

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Fluent in both English and Dutch (written and spoken)
• Demonstrated experience in AI red teaming, adversarial work, cybersecurity testing, or socio-technical security probing
• Strong ability to communicate complex risk scenarios clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in adversarial machine learning or cybersecurity
• Experience assessing socio-technical risks in AI systems
• Creative probing skills drawn from psychology, performance arts, or unconventional adversarial thinking methodologies
