SMB Operations Support Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential client in the food delivery and logistics sector, seeking an SMB Operations Support Manager to join their commercial hub in Manchester. This is a pivotal delivery-focused role where you'll lead large-scale programmes that drive commercial performance across sales, partner onboarding, account management, and support teams serving thousands of independent restaurant and retail partners across Europe.

Our talent team is looking for a structured programme manager who can apply recognised delivery methodologies to keep complex initiatives on track, design engagement frameworks that improve how priorities are resourced and measured, and own the communications strategy that keeps cross-functional teams aligned.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale commercial initiatives from scoping and governance through to sign-off, communications and reporting
• Apply PRINCE2 or Six Sigma methodology to provide clear milestones, risk management and quality control across multiple concurrent programmes
• Design and embed a structured engagement framework defining how initiatives are prioritised, resourced and measured across the hub
• Translate hub priorities into actionable delivery plans supporting commercial objectives such as advertising revenue growth and partner product adoption
• Own the communications strategy including channel ownership, sequencing and accountability to improve clarity and consistency
• Monitor delivery and engagement metrics, using insights to adjust plans, manage risk and support senior decision-making
• Produce clear, structured reporting that translates operational detail into actionable insights for senior stakeholders
• Deliver career pathway and capability-building initiatives connecting development to progression
• Partner with commercial excellence and central teams to build robust plans driving change through better engagement and improved efficiency
• Identify risks and inconsistencies before they affect delivery, escalating and problem-solving with appropriate autonomy

What We're Looking For

Essential skills and experience:

• Strong project and programme management skills with PRINCE2 or Six Sigma qualification (or clear demonstrable working knowledge)
• Typically 3+ years' experience in project or programme delivery, operations, or comparable environment
• Excellent time management able to prioritise, sequence and protect delivery quality across multiple workstreams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to flex style for different audiences including senior stakeholders
• Proven ability to lead and deliver complex plans against deadlines with clear prioritisation models
• Comfortable working with data and metrics to track and evidence impact, not just activity
• Collaborative approach able to bring the right people together across functions and build trust quickly

Preferred experience:

• Six Sigma or PRINCE2 methodology certification (or equivalent)
• Experience delivering communications, engagement or change initiatives at scale
• Experience working within commercial or contact-centre operating environments
