About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential private equity firm focused on B2B software acquisitions. Our talent team is seeking an M&A Professional to join their investment group, working on deal sourcing, execution, and value creation across a portfolio of software companies. This is a high-impact role with direct exposure to C-suite executives and full transaction lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Source, screen, and evaluate potential software acquisitions in partnership with senior investment leadership
• Build and manage a pipeline of acquisition opportunities through professional engagement with founders, operators, investors, and advisors
• Develop and analyze financial and operating models to assess unit economics, business performance, and investment viability
• Manage full-cycle transaction execution across financial, commercial, product, technology, legal, and HR workstreams
• Prepare investment memorandums and deal recommendations for executive and board review
• Support integration planning and execution for newly acquired businesses
• Conduct market, competitive, and industry research to inform sourcing strategies and investment theses
• Assist with operating strategy and financial modeling for portfolio companies

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field with strong academic performance
• Relevant M&A experience in private equity, investment banking, corporate development, or transaction advisory
• Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling and structured analytical work
• Experience leading or participating in diligence processes and preparing materials for senior leadership
• Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret complex datasets and derive actionable insights
• Professional communication skills for engaging effectively with founders and executives
• High-ownership mindset with ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
• Strong understanding of software business models, unit economics, and value drivers
• Collaborative working style across legal, finance, technology, and operations teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience sourcing and evaluating acquisition targets, including market mapping and pipeline development
• Direct exposure to software or technology-enabled businesses
